I would like to invite you to apply for membership in the Academic Business Officer's Group (ABOG). ABOG is an organization of senior business officers from academic departments and research organizations who gather information about, provide input to and comment upon policies and practices affecting the operation of their organizations. Representation from all areas of the campus and active participation on the part of ABOG members is encouraged and provides a broad perspective on issues affecting the campus. Membership shall consist of --- (blank) Assistant III-Supervisors and above (referred to as Senior Business Officers) which:

    1) Report directly to an Academic Department Chair and or Director/Head of a unit.

    2) Are not represented by an exclusive agent.

    3) Have responsibilities for, or support the operation of, teaching and/or research units.

    4) Have financial and supervisory responsibilities, as shown on their unit organizational chart.

Individuals who express an interest and desire to be included in the ABOG membership will submit an application to the Executive Board. Membership will be determined by the Executive Board, in accordance with these by-laws. Membership exceptions may be made on a case by case basis by the Executive Board.
